As part of CinemaCon 2025 activities Columbia Pictures unveils the new trailer and character posters for “Karate Kid Legends” (2025).
Li Fong, a kung fu prodigy who after a family tragedy is forced to leave his home in Beijing and move to New York with his mother. Li struggles to leave his past behind as he tries to fit in with his new classmates, and although he doesn't want to fight, trouble seems to find him everywhere. When a new friend needs his help, Li enters a karate competition, but his skills are not enough. Li's kung fu teacher, Mr. Han, enlists the help of the original Karate Kid, Daniel LaRusso, and Li learns a new way to fight, merging his two styles into one for the ultimate martial arts showdown.
Honorary Oscar Winner Jackie Chan, Ben Wang, Ralph Macchio, Joshua Jackson, Sadie Stanley, Ming-Na Wen, Shaunette Renée Wilson make up the cast under the direction of Jonathan Entwistle with a scheduled summer release.
